Welfare Activities of the Massoud Foundation:

 

1- Offering small loans:

One of the strategies of MF is to help the needy and the poor people to undertake small – scale income – generating businesses in order to provide them with a consistent source of income.

On the basis of this strategy, the donations received from PRT (in charge of Panjshir Rehabilitation projects) and from some generous French colleagues, a total amount of $38,000/00 has been launched under the name of Micro- Finance Loans to offer small loans        ( $500/00 per family) to (76) poor  families in Panjshir  province enabling them to start / establish small income – generating  undertakings for the bread- winners of those families.

From the same (above- mentioned) donation the total sum of $20,000/ has been distributed to (201) poor families, ($100/00 per family), as Humanitarian fiscal assistance.

 

 

2- Humanitarian Assistance to vulnerable Families:

The Afghan cultural Association in Hamburg (Germany) has sent $20,000/00 through Haji Abdul Basir, their official Delegate to be distributed by Massoud Foundation among the poor families who were subjected to recent Natural catastrophe in Baghlan, Somangan and Takhar provinces.

(300) families in Baghlan, (400) families in Samangan

(300) families in Takhar were the lucky families who were identified as poor and received their share of the donation.

 

3- Food Assistance to Families Subjected to Flood Disaster on the North.

Some of the Northern provinces and  districts were subjected to  thunder – storms , showers, and floods due to  seasonal  heavy rains which rendered the families homeless and the agricultural lands  and canals either destroyed or damaged. Other Humanitarian organizations offered their assistance on time and on the spot.

Massoud Foundation Followed  the suit and distributed  the amount of food stuff equivalent  to $140.000/00 to (1000) families  in Balkh, Faiz-Abad , Almar, Shireen-Tagub, Faryab, Samangan , Takhar provinces and  Districts which were well received by the beneficiaries.
