Welfare Activities of the Massoud Foundation:
1- Offering small loans:
One of the strategies of MF is to help the needy and the
poor people to undertake small – scale income – generating businesses in order to
provide them with a consistent source of income.
On the basis of this strategy, the donations received from
PRT (in charge of Panjshir Rehabilitation projects) and from some generous French colleagues, a total amount
of $38,000/00 has been launched under the name of Micro- Finance
Loans to offer small loans
( $500/00
per family) to (76) poor families in
Panjshir province enabling them to
start / establish small income – generating
undertakings for the bread- winners of those families.
From the same (above- mentioned) donation the total sum of
$20,000/ has been distributed to (201) poor families, ($100/00 per family), as Humanitarian
fiscal assistance.
2- Humanitarian Assistance to vulnerable Families:
The Afghan cultural Association in Hamburg (Germany) has
sent $20,000/00 through Haji Abdul Basir, their official Delegate to be distributed
by Massoud Foundation among the poor families who were subjected to recent Natural
catastrophe in Baghlan, Somangan and Takhar provinces.
(300) families in Baghlan, (400) families in Samangan
(300) families in Takhar were the lucky families who were
identified as poor and received their share of the donation.

on the North.
Some of the Northern provinces and
districts were subjected to
thunder – storms , showers, and floods due to
seasonal heavy rains which rendered
the families homeless and the agricultural lands
and canals either destroyed or damaged. Other Humanitarian organizations
offered their assistance on time and on the spot.
