Introduction
The Massoud Foundation,
established in 2003, is an independent, non-aligned, non-profitable and non-political
organization which is the product of the mindsets of an elite Afghan group, for
the realization of socially valuable lofty goals determined to heal the wounds and
soothe the social pains and discomforts and redirect the national potentials and
capacities towards the development of the deprived cross-section of Afghan society firstly by the creation of an economically self-sufficient and self-reliable
society and secondly by founding an Afghan society garnished with moderate
Islam , fraternity and peace-making traits based on national unity, human rights
and freedom for all.
Versatile segregations
including the tribal, racial, lingual, provincial, creed and gender in whatever
form are condemned and rejected by Massoud Foundation, as these social evils have
devalued, degenerated and defamed our national-unity, justice system, faithfulness
to Human Rights and the Islamic values. Consequently, they have impeded and checked
our national development compared to other regional countries and have exerted irreparable
blows to our prosperity. Their sustenance (if continued) is going to be extremely
dangerous to our future generations and to our national growth and development.
Massoud Foundation has
devised miscellaneous viable programs in the fields of education, culture, agriculture,
construction, welfare, physical education, health, public-health and social development
and its plans are thriving in these areas under the Foundation’s leadership in order
to eradicate poverty, ignorance, illiteracy, ailment and other social evils and
pave the way for a gradual recovery of people and the reconstruction of Afghanistan
and lead the society towards its ultimate goal which is a prosperous society and
shining future for all.
Today, the entire world
is moving towards globalization, consequently, the Massoud
Foundation is counting
on its national and international stakeholders to exert their joint and concerted
efforts to respond to the staggering social problems with which the Afghan society
is confronted. The Massoud Foundation is working for the realization of welfare,
development, reconstruction, rehabilitation and prosperity for all.
In order to achieve these
noble goals, the Massoud Foundation expects a sustainable collaboration from the
national and international concerned communities especially from those who share
with us these aspirations and from those who have financial capacity to make generous
contributions.
